Insulated Terminals and Sleeves
Insulated Terminals and Sleeves
Terminals are used to connect cables and wires to an electrical system. Insulated terminals are covered with a plastic material to keep connections secure and prevent damage and corrosion over time. We offer an extensive selection of vinyl, nylon, heat-shrink, and eco-friendly polycarbonate terminals to work with marine, automotive, industrial, and a variety of other industry applications. All of our insulated terminals and sleeves are made in Japan.
With over 80 years of experience, Nichifu is a leading manufacturer and distributor for a wide range of solderless terminals and various electrical products. Types of Insulation & Their Benefits
Depending on the type, the materials used to insulate terminals are typically translucent, making it easier to secure connections. Insulated terminals are often used with crimping tools for crimping to wires and cables. See below for more information regarding the different types of insulation and their benefits:
- Vinyl terminals are a cost-effective option that are resistant to impact and abrasion. These terminals are ideal for home or office environments.
- Nylon terminals are extremely durable and quick and easy to install. These terminals are able to be used in a wide range of industry applications.
- Polycarbonate TMEX terminals are a non-toxic, environmentally friendly solution that offers superior quality. Nichifu’s TMEX polycarbonate terminals provide an excellent temperature range, increased impact resistance, and a high voltage rating.
- Heat Shrink terminals provide maximum insulation and are highly resistant to moisture, oil, corrosion, an abrasion. These terminals are often used in marine and industrial applications.

Insulated Ring Terminals
Ring terminals are the most frequently used terminal type. These terminals have a ring that fits over a stud to provide a highly secure connection between two or more wires. Insulated ring terminals are used in automotive applications due to their extreme durability.
Insulated Spade Terminals
Also known as fork terminals, spade terminals are often used in electrical systems to prevent wires from fraying. These terminals are long-lasting and can quickly attached and/or removed from hardware.
Insulated Pin Terminals
Pin terminals are frequently used to connect wires to terminal blocks. These terminals provide quick and easy connections in applications that involve the use of a screw or clamp.
Insulated Blade Terminals
Blade terminals have a flat blade or funnel shaped design to protect wires from excessive bending or tightening. These terminals are available in a variety of different styles to provide unique benefits and ensure secure connections.
Insulated Butt & Parallel Connectors
Butt terminals (also known as parallel connectors, sleeves, or butt splices) are used to mate, connect, or terminate a single wire or set of wires. These connectors are the ideal solution for connecting multi-conductor cables.
Half & Fully Insulated Disconnect Terminals
Disconnect terminals are ideal for applications that require frequent reassembly. These terminals can be easily connected and disconnected, making them an incredibly versatile option. We offer a variety of half or fully insulated options for connecting male and/or female parts.
Insulated Bullet & Receptacle Connectors
Insulated bullet connectors, or receptacle connectors, maintain a simple design to provide safe and reliable connections. These terminals are often used for wiring in automotive applications.
Closed End Connectors
Closed end connectors can be quickly and easily crimped to create a permanent connection. These connectors are frequently used for the internal wiring of home appliances.
Heat-Shrink Ring Terminals & Butt Connectors
Heat-shrink is the most durable type of insulation for terminals and connectors. These terminals are lined with glue to seal wires when heated. Our heat shrink ring terminals and butt connectors are ideal for any application that requires high performance and longevity.
